Video installation
Driven by feelings of despair, loss of control, and the erosion of security in the place I once called home, I tried to distance myself from reality for a moment and observe it from above. "Closed Loop" is a project created in response to the events in Israel in recent years. The video work is presented as a circular floor projection, where local imagery repeats in a continuous loop. This repetition depicts construction, destruction, and a return to exile - a recurring historical ritual of the Jewish people. The work was created through the repeated printing and scanning of militaristic objects, landscapes of the Land of Israel, and contemporary symbols. The scanned paper became the raw material for my work: I tore it, crumpled it, and cut it. The view from above creates a sense of distance, while also emphasizing the inability to escape the loop.
